In October of 2006, DeAnna and I traveled to Bryson City NC,
where we stayed in a beautiful cabin in the woods. We finally
had a chance to see fall colors.

And here I am, sitting on the front porch of our cabin.

Another picture taken from a few feet further back.

Panning for gold at a gem mine.

Oh Look, I just dumped the gold into the drain.

And here I am, enjoying my first drink and the back porch of
the cabin.

DeAnna shows off a 17 carat Amathyst gem that we mined. She
had it shaped and mounted in under a day.

And here is a picture from the inside of our cabin.

We drove across the mountain from our cabin all the was to
Gatlinburg and back. Here are the pictures from the mountain
pass.

And here is DeAnna at the top of the mountain pass. Halfway
to Gatlinburg.
